Irish Angus YDP workshop will take place at Felfort Angus on the farm of Ben and Elaine Ryall, Watergrasshill co Cork on Saturday 20th July 2019
Come along to see this 80 strong Pedigree Angus herd of excellent prolific breeding cows that produce a valuable niche product to the Dairy farming market in cork and surrounding counties.
The Ryall’s specialise in breeding easy calving bulls mainly for their local dairy farmers but also further afield.
Traditional style cow families are crossed using 5-star top bloodline bulls mainly sourced in Ireland, this cross of pedigree breeds a super easy calving bull where a lot of emphasis is placed on calf birth weight, fast growth and easy calving figures from ICBF.
This workshop will see people travel from across the country to Watergrasshill to see how a large-scale pedigree operation can be done with minimal labour input (Ben and Elaine) but a lot of thought and planning to make this operation a family friendly success story.
